ABOUT

Kurt Bier was a partner at the Working People's Law Center, where he began working in 2008. He is a graduate of Pomona College and received his J.D. from the People's College of Law, where he has taught courses in Family Law and Civil Procedure.  Prior to joining the Working Peoples Law Center, Kurt worked as journalist, taught English in Japan, and organized for the Los Angeles Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union, Local 11.  Kurt handles family law, criminal, and civil rights matters.  He was the lead attorney fighting implementation of a gang injunction in Echo Park.  He also specializes in Hague Convention child abduction cases.  Kurt has two children who attend public elementary school.
